Open Letter to Adobe - Fix Photoshop’s Clipboard Bug!
Rants, Software | Posted by ReggieAdd comments
Dear Adobe,
Have you ever heard of theĀ strangeĀ ”can’t copy/paste from the clipboard” bug in Photoshop? Well, we have. And we’ve had it with this bug! This is a Windows only bug apparently. Unfortunately, we’re on Windows (except Nicky, that lucky f*ck).
Purging your clipboard data doesn’t work (Edit > Purge > Clipboard). Some people posted a solution for which you had to edit the windows registry. Alas… we keep having those bugs.
Can someone at Adobe fix this problem? Is there a workaround? Do help us, we appreciate it!
Cheers,
DC - Design Cartel.

Hi Rangers,
Try holding ALT when pressing Print-Screen. When on dual-screen, make sure the mouse cursor is in the screen of choice
works for me…

@Hans : this is not a problem of capturing the screen (ALT just capture the main windows), it is a well know problem of clipboard
It is useless to explain different way to do a screenshot, the real problem is that after a certain time of use, Photoshop doesn’t recognize the clipboard, and you can’t copy/paste anything (text, screenshot, picture, …) from any application to photoshop
The only solution actually is to quit photoshop and launch it again.
When you are working with lots and lots of files open, it is really annoying.
Adobe never corrected this bug , that was here in previous versions of photoshop.

I found this work around that worked perfectly for me when nothing else did - looks stupid having a tinsy winsy doc but check it out - it works!
1. File->New
2. Custom Dimensions: 1 x 1 pixel
3. Paste
4. Image->Reveal All
